Organization
Use a spoken checklist or make one on scrap paper. Pack school materials, check the weather, and choose clothing before bedtime.
Builds routines, sequencing, and self-management.
Writing stamina
Write a short message, invitation, or thank-you. Check for readable letters, spacing, punctuation, and a comfortable hand position.
Keeps handwriting connected to real communication.
Time and planning
Choose a chore or homework task. Name the first three steps, estimate the time, and check each step as it is finished.
Supports initiation, sequencing, and flexible planning.
Fine motor
Use a safe household tool such as a screwdriver on a toy, a measuring cup, or clothespins. Follow safety rules and put tools away.
Builds controlled hand use for practical tasks.
Regulation
Choose three steps for a reset, such as water, slow breaths, and a short walk. Practice the routine before the next seated task.
