Plan a snack station

Have your child choose a snack, gather the tools, prepare it safely, and wipe the area. Ask them to notice what should be put away.

Practices planning, sequencing, and self-monitoring.

Writing stamina

Write a real note

Write a short thank-you, reminder, or joke for someone at home. Focus on a comfortable grip, clear letters, and spaces between words.

Builds everyday writing endurance and legibility.

Visual planning

Map a route

Draw a simple route from one room to another or around the block with an adult. Add landmarks and a start and finish.

Supports visual organization and planning.

Household skills

Fold and sort laundry

Match socks, fold shirts, and sort clothes by person or drawer. Let your child decide the order of the steps.

Builds two-hand coordination and independence.

Tool use

Build a cardboard sign

Cut, fold, and tape scrap cardboard into a small sign or stand. Measure with a ruler if you have one and test whether it stands.

Works on hand strength, precision, and problem solving.

Focus break

Move, then reset

Choose a two-minute movement break such as wall pushes, a walk, or slow stretches. Return to the table and name the first task.

Helps practice shifting from movement to focused work.
